Refugees Access to Education Campaign

The Centre for Lebanese (CLS) research into the school experience of Syrian refugee children in Lebanon shows major shortcomings in the public sector which are affecting the learning experiences of all children in Lebanon including Lebanese. Prior to the Syrian crisis less than 30% of the Lebanese student population was enrolled in public schools due to the poor quality of teaching and learning. CLS numerous studies also highlight the dangers of segregating Syrian and Lebanese children on social cohesion between the two communities.
