About the Project
Thaki, that means “Smart” in Arabic, is a social impact non-profit, non-sectarian, non-political association founded in 2015. It aims at empowering refugee and vulnerable children to learn and thrive through self-paced motivational electronic educational tools by donating fully functional second-hand devices mainly laptops in addition to tablets and projectors. Its vision is to eliminate inequity brought about by poverty, war, and disasters and to foster a world in which we sustainably share our resources and help one another with compassion and benevolence.
This report is an impact assessment document that highlights the effectiveness of Thaki’s program and its content in empowering refugee students. Specifically, it investigates the impact of Thaki’s program on students’ learning experiences, knowledge, and skills. The report is based on primary data generated through online surveys and interviews conducted by the team of the Centre for Lebanese Studies (CLS).
