
Dr. Tamirace Fakhoury is Associate Professor at the Department of Politics at Aalborg University in Copenhagen. She is also the Scientific advisor to the Kuwait Chair at Sciences Po in Paris (2020-2022). Prior to joining Aalborg, Tamirace was Associate Professor at the Lebanese American University and the director of the Institute for Social Justice and Conflict Resolution (ISJCR). From 2012 until 2016, she was a visiting Assistant Professor in the summer sessions at the University of California in Berkeley. Together with Professor Heather Howe, Professor Lyndsey Stonebridge and Dr. Ben Warwick, Tamirace is leading the policy time strand at Rights for Time, a GCRF-funded project and collaborating with CLS on refugee trajectories in Lebanon through the lens of temporality
Her core research and publication areas are migration and refugee governance in conflict areas; international responses to forced migration; norm contestation in the international system; the European Union’s external migration policy; and power-sharing and ethno-sectarian conflicts.
