Maysa Achkar is a Project Coordinator at the Centre for Lebanese Studies. She has received in 2016 a master’s degree in Events Management from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, with a thesis entitled “An Investigation on the Asian Migrant Labourer Exploitation in Qatar: A Case Study of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar”. She has completed as well a project management course through executing a live streamed video conference project about “The Impact of Social Media on Events”.
Maysa has earned in 2007 a BS in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Lebanese American University. She has worked in the industry for 7 years and 6 months with the Intercontinental Hotels Group Chain, specifically Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites Hotels, in both Front Desk and Banquet Sales Department handling corporate events.
