Rana is a Junior Researcher and Project Coordinator at the Centre for Lebanese Studies. She holds an M.A in Public Policy and International Affairs and a B.A. in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut. Her master's thesis explored the institutional response of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the Near East (UNRWA) to the dramatic decision by the United States of America in 2018 to eliminate all funding to the organization. Rana has over five years of work experience with the American University of Beirut, the semantic intelligence company Expert System USA, as well as several international NGOs in Lebanon. More recently she worked on programs of 'Culture as Resistance' and 'Activism in the Arab World' at the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at AUB. Rana is also interested in cultural studies particularly cultural activism in the Arab world.
