Call for Applications: Presenting Research to External Audiences

The CLS Knowledge Collective invites applications to participate in a one-day networking and capacity-building event in Beirut. This call is open to researchers in the social sciences and humanities. In this workshop, we will explore how to adapt and refine research communication for different audiences, with a focus on three key areas: 

1.      Interdisciplinary academic audiences 

2.      Policy makers 

3.      Development and humanitarian sector professionals 

Participants will have the opportunity to present their research and receive constructive feedback from peers and mentors. This includes senior scholars and experts from the policy and development fields who will be present to offer sector-specific insights and tips on how to effectively communicate academic work in different settings. The format will combine short lectures, participant presentations, and structured feedback discussions.

تدعوكم مجموعة المعرفة في مركز الدراسات اللبنانية للتقديم والمشاركة في فعالية شبكية وتدريبية ليوم واحد في بيروت. الدعوة مفتوحة للباحثين والباحثات في ميادين العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانية. 

في هذه الورشة، سنستكشف معًا سبل تحسين وتكييف أساليب عرض البحث بما يتناسب مع شرائح مختلفة من الجمهور، مع التركيز على ثلاث فئات رئيسية: 

·         جمهور أكاديمي متعدّد التخصّصات 

·         صناع السياسات 

·         العاملون والعاملات في قطاع التنمية والعمل الإنساني 

سيُتاح للمشاركين والمشاركات تقديم أبحاثهم والحصول على تغذية راجعة بنّاءة من الزملاء والمشرفين. سيشارك في الورشة باحثون كبار، إضافة إلى خبراء من مجالي السياسات العامة والتنمية لتقديم نصائح عملية حول كيفية عرض العمل الأكاديمي بفعالية في السياقات المختلفة. 

ستتضمّن الورشة جلسات تفاعلية تشمل محاضرات قصيرة، عروض تقديمية من المشاركين/ات، ونقاشات مخصصة لتقديم الملاحظات.
