Reflecting on Fieldwork Experiences and Research Ethics
An in-person workshop hosted by the CLS Knowledge Collective, focused on reflecting on your fieldwork experiences and research ethics. Research ethics has been a central theme in our conversations, stemming from our ongoing reflection beyond institutional ethics criteria which can often be reductionist. Following our recent webinar on research ethics and knowledge production, we are keen to continue this conversation.
Join us in Beirut for half a day, where we will reflect together on our experiences and exchange knowledge as researchers focusing on related topics and contexts. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Mai Abou Moghli and Cyrine Saab and it will include two roundtable discussions and ample time for reflection.
By the end of the workshop, we will synthesize takeaway messages for publication on the CLS website. Particularly, we will focus on fieldwork practices that are not commonly addressed in our institutions. The event will take place at the Centre for Lebanese Studies office in Qoreitem, Beirut from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm (Beirut time).
