Dr. Jee Rubin is a sociologist of education who studies war, transnational politics and emancipatory struggle. They recently completed their PhD at the University of Cambridge on the geopolitics of higher education in Syria. Dr. Rubin’s current research examines the war economies of western higher education, including university involvement in the arms trade, academic solidarity networks, and university aid and resettlement programs. In addition to their fellowship with CLS, Dr. Rubin is also a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for International Education, University of Sussex.
