Maysa Achkar

Projects Coordinator

Maysa Achkar is a Project Coordinator  at the Centre for Lebanese Studies since 2017 where she has played a role in project coordination, events management, and administrative operations. Maysa coordinates research activities with the project managers focusing on education and disability studies, managing project timelines, budgets, and compliance with donor regulations. Additionally, she oversees human resources functions and ensures operational efficiency within the centre.

Before her current role, Maysa worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where she provided vital support in project coordination and event planning. Also, she has a strong background in the hospitality industry specifically in guest services and corporate banqueting where she honed her leadership, customer service, and event planning skills.

Academically, Maysa holds a Master of Science in Events Management (Distinction) from Bournemouth University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Hospitality Management (Honors) from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon.
