Mayssa Achkar has been part of the Centre for Lebanese Studies since 2017 and currently serves as Operations Manager. She has a proven track record in overseeing organizational systems and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of projects and teams. With expertise spanning administration, human resources, events management, and project support for diverse research activities, Mayssa plays a pivotal role in aligning internal operations with the Centre’s mission.

Before taking on this role, Mayssa worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Lebanese American University (LAU), where she provided essential support in project coordination and event planning. She also brings valuable experience from the hospitality industry, particularly in guest services and corporate banqueting, where she developed her leadership, customer service, and event management skills.

Mayssa holds a Master of Science in Events Management (Distinction) from Bournemouth University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Hospitality Management (Honors) from the Lebanese American University, Lebanon.
